Long, long ago, people made things as they needed them. Today, we live in a consumer culture, by and large, where people just drive on over to some big box store whenever they need something.

For me, crafting is the exact opposite. I make items that are meant to be loved and used just as they were a century ago.

Making functional items that are based on traditions, the past and our roots is a process that is calming and rewarding, and I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. I believe is slow crafting. taking pride in the thing one makes and doing the job right because I don't cut corners, and I don't want to make mass-produced items that seem like they could be from China.

All of my items are crafted with care and love in my Tennessee studio. Enjoy!
