Hace años empecé a jugar con el papel de plumaje, haciendo pequeños objetos. Varios años más tarde, después de una larga temporada de acolchado diario, vi una valla publicitaria con "Noche estrellada" de Van Gogh exhibida en ella.
De repente pude ver cómo crear ese trabajo en el acolchado. Pude verlo y cómo fue junto. Como una verdadera artista era una mujer poseída... Simplemente no podía dejar de trabajar en él hasta que lo pusiera en papel para poder despejar mi mente. Desde entonces he creado muchos paisajes y piezas de arte originales.
También me encanta crear pequeñas decoraciones para otoño e invierno. Paso mucho tiempo trabajando en hermosas piezas de adornos navideños.
En la primavera, mis dedos se vuelven para hacer pequeñas ramitas de flores que se pueden usar de varias maneras. Los uso para crear arreglos florales. Algunos de mis clientes los han utilizado como centros de mesa para su boda. También se pueden utilizar en álbumes de recortes. ¡Son pequeñas cosas hermosas!
Years ago I began to play around with quilling paper, making small objects. Several years later after a long stint of quilling daily I saw a billboard with "Starry Night" by Van Gogh displayed on it.
Suddenly I could see how to create that work in quilling. I could just see it and how it went together. Like a true artist I was a woman possessed... I just couldn't quit working on it until I got it down in paper so I could clear my mind. Since then I have created many landscapes and pieces of original artwork.
I also love to create small decorations for fall and winter. I spend a lot of time working on beautiful pieces of Christmas ornaments.
In the spring my fingers turn to making lovely little sprigs of flowers that can be used in a variety of ways. I use them to create flower arrangements. Some of my customers have used them as centerpieces for their wedding. They can also be used in scrapbooks. They are beautiful little things!
