Art teacher turned designer
In August 2010, I started this endeavor with the simple desire to make a few stylish laptop cases and from there Rais Case has slowly evolved and blossomed into the vibrant brand you see today.
With a undergraduate and master’s degree in Art Education, my background has helped guide me through the process of creating prototypes and refining designs over time. Initially inspired to develop a bag to meet my needs and the needs of me friends. Each new design is inspired by the desire for something practical and super stylish.
In 2013 I began using genuine Pendleton® wool and launched my pillow line from the joy of seeing the textiles I was using for my bags in my home.
What began as an effort to created something effortless and chic has become a study of quality, engineering, fashion and art. Unique materials like salvaged leathers, bold textiles, and solid brass hardware have helped to create a rich canvas for Rais Case.
For three in a half years I managed to build RAIS CASE slowly from the ground up all while being an art teacher. I loved the challenge of inspiring her students to find and pursue their creative passions, and for me, RAIS CASE is a way of walking the walk. In 2014, I took a leap, leaving my steady paying teaching job to run Rais Case full time!
