I am delighted you chose to visit this shop! My name is Zlatina and I stand behind CONCEPT contemporary ceramic studio. I'm a ceramic artist and designer living in Sofia, Bulgaria where ceramic tradition is embedded in culture of its people. After finishing a BA and MA in National Academy of Arts in Sofia, I started to work at full time job as a designer and creator of this studio. It was inspired by memories, dreams and nature, I wanted to create simple but unique designs, working with functional handmade products and one of a kind porcelain jewelry. I enjoy working with simple forms and texture, and I believe that the little things can have a big impact. I love the whole process of making things out of porcelain and clay, from slip casting, hand building to decorating objects with delicate textures, patterns and designs.
Every vessel and jewel is made with more than just clay – it also has a soul, a poetry, time, care and thought put into it. Sources of my inspiration are the nature, the beauty of sounds, the song of sunlight and the clearness and simplicity of everyday objects.
CONCEPT ceramic studio strives to create designs that can be enjoyed in everyday life with delicate and unexpected design solutions. The guideline is to keep all products simple and elegant. Attention to details and high-quality work are very important to development the studio.
The thrill of making something you love and then sending it off to be loved by someone else on the other side of the world is simply magical.
I work and put my heart into every piece of vessel or jewel I make. That's why for me they all tell a story, they are all unique, I hope you can also feel that.
