This is near where we live in Dorset

I'm always fascinated by how the clay is transformed by heat and how beautiful the glazes can become

I originally studied Fine Art throughout my late teens and early 20s and then discovered the joys of clay when I had children, 30 years ago.

I have been selling pottery in my Etsy shop since 2012, having previously sold through art galleries and local craft fairs.

My grandmother was a fine artist and always encouraged my creative interests. She always had a number of different projects on the go.

I have a love of colour and different surface textures. I can create different effects by using different clays, glaze combinations and temperatures to fire my pottery.

There is nothing quite like opening my kiln after a glaze firing and discovering how my pieces have turned out.

There are so many different parts to producing pottery that I never stop learning and experimenting. There's a lot of trial and error and often unexpected results.

I never mass produce anything and constantly change what I make! Never a dull moment :0)

Although my pottery can go in the dishwasher, generally I advise washing handmade pottery by hand to prevent chipping it.
