I'm a maker down to my bones
I spent a lot of time with my grandparents while growing up. My grandfather was a welder. Whenever he needed something for around the house, he would always bust out the torch and make it out of metal. He'd fix something before buying something new and there was a drawer in the kitchen so full of random hardware that the bottom was at risk of dropping out. He was an inventor and a tinkerer and passed the DIY genes to me in a big way.
I'm not really sure when, how, or why the electronic music bug decided to bite me. I've always had very eclectic music interests but never considered myself a musician. I took a semester of piano in college, I learned a few chords on the guitar, and bought a mountain dulcimer kit that I have yet to start. As I went down the Eurorack rabbit hole, I found that I always needed something a little bit different from what I could find. Naturally, if I can't find it, I make it... it's in my DNA. I kinda figured, if it's useful to me, maybe the things I make will be useful to others... that's where my shop originated.
Everything in my shop started out as something I selfishly wanted for myself. I spend a lot of time, a lot of material, and a fair amount of (mild) swearing developing and testing the products I sell. I'm a little obsessive and a bit of a perfectionist but the things I make reflect the most important lesson my grandfather ever taught me. I'll paraphrase since he often used colorful language... "If you're going to do something, don't do it half way." I hope that people who buy and use my products feel what they receive exceeds their expectations in every way.
Thank you all for visiting my shop. I appreciate each and every one of you and every sale is important to me.
Happy making!
