A love for chainmail.
My whole life, I have loved chainmail. The first chainmail item I bought was a small red dice bag at a local Renaissance fair when I was around 12. I started making chainmail a bit over a year ago and absolutely fell in love with weaving. I took a lot of my inspiration from my sister, who used to make chainmail and ran a small Etsy shop when I was young. Seeing her make chainmail always got me interested, but I didn't take action until the end of my Freshman year in college. I bought all the materials I needed, but didn't actually get to creating anything until my Sophomore year. My first product was a galvanized steel dice bag that I made in November of 2019 and sold to someone on my campus. Now, I am a Junior and I weave almost every day. I absolutely love working with customers and their ideas to make new and creative pieces. Customers always have amazing ideas for new pieces, and I love being able to bring these ideas to life. I'm hoping to be able to keep doing this at least part-time, but would absolutely love it if this became my full-time job.
