HI there! I'm Rachel- a crafter with a serious love of gifts. Giving them, getting them, shopping for them...I love it all!
I started crocheting when I was in college. I found that doing something with my hands helped relieve the stress and anxiety I felt. As time went on, I taught myself more stitches and challenged myself to create different things to give to my friends and family. To this day, when I feel a lot of anxiety, I grab my hook and some yarn and start stitching.
(I also start scrolling shopping sites to find the best gifts for upcoming occasions! I bet you do too! #retailtherapy)
Once I learned to crochet, I immediately began gifting my creations. Whenever there was any sort of occasion to give a gift, my first thought was "What can I make?!" I taught myself to quilt, I bought a Cricut machine for home decor items, and I continued to learn new crocheting stitches.
I got a lot of requests to start selling my items through the years. For a long time, I was scared that doing this for money would take the joy out of it. Turns out, quite the opposite!
In 2020, I began a Facebook group to start sharing and selling my items. I was at the end of my marriage and knew I needed something to help provide for myself and my then 1 year old son. Developing my shop has been such a blessing in my life! I am able to use the skills God gave me to make other people smile. What could be better?!
That brings us here, to my Etsy shop! My prayer is that I will be able to reach more people and continue to grow my business so I can keep staying home with my son in the short years before he starts school. I adore sharing my items with people and can't wait to see who I am able to bless next!
