Our Radia Smart® Story
We are the founders and directors of Radia Smart® since 2016.
Stefan became first aware of the potential health effects caused by EMF whilst working as a biomedical engineer at various hospitals in Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. Unwillingly, Stefan developed health symptoms associated with EMF exposure due to the high level of radiofrequency from nearby cell towers. In 2016, Stefan began exploring ways of providing effective shielding solutions and tested several materials following IEEE 299-2006: Method for Measuring the Effectiveness of Electromagnetic Shielding Enclosures.
Stefan is a certified EMF Testing Technician, Biomedical Engineer, and Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP). He is soon to be a certified Building Biologist ( he is working on his last assignment, woohoo!).
Kristin first became aware of EMF radiation when she was pregnant with her first child ( oh wow, that is more than 10 years ago). Like many mums, she wants to provide the best environment for her baby. With an increased population using radiation-emitting devices like cell phones, iPads, and wireless networks each year, she started to wonder what the risks and health impacts for pregnant women and families in the long term.
Kristin is a mum of three children, and an entrepreneur, she has a background in business and IT. She is in charge of product design and business development, as well as customer relations.
We are here to provide simple and actionable solutions to reduce your EMF radiation. More importantly, We are on the journey of helping people to become more aware of EMF radiation and its potential health risks for families, special families with children who are more vulnerable to these radiations.
We know once a person becomes aware that person will start taking precautions to reduce EMF radiation. It can be as simple as putting the WIFI in the garage, leaving the cell phone away from you when you sleep, or using a speaker phone when chatting, these are all small wins for us. Raise awareness, and reduce the EMF exposure.
