My Bottle Cap Shop
When I began making bottle cap magnets, my idea was to use glitter and 3-D images. My prices are based on my process, time, dedication and quality of materials used to make each bottle cap perfect.
My Process:
I start by attaching all glitter and 3-D images to the bottle caps. It takes 5-6 hours for the images to set. Once set, the resin is prepared and carefully poured into each individual bottle cap. Each batch of resin fills approximately 25 caps. For the next 5-6 hours, I carefully monitor the curing process so bubbles do not form in the resin. It takes 24 hours for the resin to completely cure to a solid clear cover over my artwork in the bottle cap. At this point, I attach a neodymium magnet to the back of each bottle cap. From start to finish, it takes approximately 36 hours to get a perfect set of 3-4 bottle cap magnets.

On November 19, 2010, in my first Etsy Shop, I sold my very first Bottle Cap Magnet Advent Calendar. The Calendars became such a huge hit that during the next Holiday Season other sellers began mimicking my unique creation on Etsy. At first, I purchased my bottle cap designs from other Etsy Sellers. Currently, I create my own computerized images in order to keep them exclusive. I use the same process mentioned above to permanently secure my digital images and create a modern Advent Calendar to be used as a family tradition year after year.
