My goal is to help people relive their passion for macramé.
Aprendí macramé a través de una clase de arte en la escuela secundaria. Nunca supe que las joyas, aparte de las pulseras de amistad comunes, se podían hacer usando la técnica, hasta el día en que me encontré con un libro sobre Micro-Macramé en la biblioteca local y desde ese día me enamoré de lo que se podía hacer usando la técnica casi olvidada.
Ayuda tener un fondo de diseño gráfico como el que he tenido durante muchos años, porque puedo tomar una idea simple y darle forma en algo hermoso. Es con esta experiencia que puedo elaborar ilustraciones claras para mis proyectos que creo que atraerán a los artesanos.
Hace tres años decidí centrarme en ser un joyero de micro macramé. Desde entonces he estado haciendo y vendiendo mis joyas en boutiques locales, tiendas de artesanía y mercados.
Gracias a las continuas sugerencias y peticiones de personas interesadas en saber cómo completé mis proyectos, en enero de 2012 comencé a utilizar mis conocimientos como diseñador gráfico y micro-macramé para armar tutoriales como los que encontrarás en mi tienda.
La respuesta aquí ha sido excelente. Mis clientes, están continuamente pidiendo nuevos proyectos. Los siguientes comentarios son solo uno de ellos: "¡¡Gran tutorial !! [...] ... fácil de seguir y gracias por los nudos básicos tut también!! ¡Ahora estaré acechando su sitio para más tutoriales! [...}"
Para mí es un reto ayudar a la gente a revivir su pasión por el macramé!!
I learned macramé through an art class in Middle School. I never knew that jewelry, other than the common friendship bracelets, could be made using the technique, until the day I came across a book on Micro-Macramé at the local library and from that day on I fell in love with what could be made using the almost forgotten technique.
It helps to have a background of graphic design like I have had for many years, because I can take a simple idea and shape it into something gorgeous. It is with this experience that I am able to work up clear illustrations for my projects that I think will attract crafters to it.
Three years ago I decided to focus on being a micro macramé jeweler. Since then I have been making and selling my jewelry in local boutiques, craft shops and markets.
Thanks to continuous suggestions and petitions from people interested to know how I completed my projects, in January of 2012 I began to use my knowledge as a graphic designer and micro-macramé to put together tutorials like the ones you will find in my shop.
The response here has been great. My customers, are continuously asking for new projects. The following feedback is just one of them: "Great Tutorial !! […] ... easy to follow and thank you for the basic knots tut too !! Now I'll be stalking your site for more Tutorials !! [...}"
For me it is a challenge to help people relive their passion for macramé!!
