Razzberries - a crazy dreamer's perspective on textile art

From a very young age my sister and I were fascinated with textiles. We sewed doll clothes, crocheted granny square afghans, embroidered stamped patterns on pillowcases, and knit scarves before we got out of grade school. By the time I was in high school, I was sewing for my teachers and people in our community. While trying to make ends meet in my first apartment, I was able to knit sweaters (which I later sold) while on the phone at my telemarketing job.
As a young bride, I made my gown and bridesmaids' dresses which led to a deep education in pattern drafting and design of bridal gowns, veils, bridesmaids and flower girls dresses. I loved designing the flower girls the most - which led to my first official business in the production of special occasion children's clothing. The company was active for many years complete with a brick and mortar, "mail order" catalog, and home party services.
Razzberries Studio was born several years later and is a free flowing pipeline for my interpretation of ideas transformed into items made from a variety of media. My passion is in the "making" of something new!
