eARTh without ART would just be eh
I want to keep the Earth beautiful by recycling it's precious resources, creating little wearable works of art for everyone to enjoy.
I am a retired high school art teacher. Art is my life, and I want to do my best to continue making and teaching art in a way that is eco friendly. We need to preserve this beautiful planet Earth.
I started making earrings as a fundraiser for art supplies for my class. I just didn’t realize how much fun I would have making these pieces of jewelry! I handcraft each piece of jewelry in California (made in the USA). Most pieces are one of a kind. They are elegant, decorative and sometimes whimsical. Most items are up-cycled, handcrafted from recycled aluminum cans, however, I also work with copper and silver. Each piece of jewelry is designed, hand-cut, doubled layered, embossed and usually painted on both sides. All pieces are sealed and filed down so there is no discomfort, only an attractive silver, aluminum (soda can), copper and/or patina’d look.
My earrings are extremely light weight. They will not stretch your earlobes. They are the most comfortable earrings you will ever wear.
Every piece of jewelry is shipped wrapped in a handmade pillow box that is made from recycled packaging and/or paper towel rolls. The boxes are embossed, painted and finished with a raffia ribbon and a recycled aluminum ribbon buckle.
