RED STAGGERWING is eenvoudig genoeg geboren - met één tas. Op zoek naar een nieuwe creatieve uitlaatklep om haar liefde voor stof te koesteren, probeerde Lisa DeMio een boodschappentas te naaien. Net als *dat* was ze verslaafd en kreeg ze al snel verzoeken om tassen voor anderen te maken. Binnen een paar maanden verkocht ze haar handgemaakte creaties op lokale markten in New Hampshire.
Tien jaar later is Red Staggerwing nog steeds sterk met een bruisende online winkel en tientallen groothandelsaccounts in de VS. De klassieke stukken worden van begin tot eind met de hand gemaakt, nu met de hulp van een klein, volledig vrouwelijk team dat het ambacht perfectioneert in een zonovergoten studio in New Hampshire.
Geïnspireerd door haar Scandinavische erfgoed, lokale flora en veel kleur, ontwerpt Lisa persoonlijk alle kenmerkende stukken van Red Staggerwing. Ten years in, Red Staggerwing is still going strong with a bustling online shop and dozens of wholesale accounts across the US. The classic pieces are hand made from start to finish, now with the help of a small, all-women team perfecting the craft in a sun- filled New Hampshire studio.
Inspired by her Scandinavian heritage, local flora, and lots of color, Lisa personally designs all of Red Staggerwing’s signature pieces. The limited edition collections feature hand-printed linen, leather, cotton, and waxed canvas — sourcing high-quality, durable materials from independent businesses is a priority for the team, as they strive to create classic pieces that hold up to everyday use.
