Sharing History in a Unique Way - One Magazine Page at a Time
I am a lover of history and all things vintage and old. A few years ago, my mother bought several Ladies Home Journal magazines from the early 1900's at an estate sale because she knew that I would enjoy looking at them. One night while my wife and I were perusing through those almost 100 year old paper time capsules, I made the comment that the advertisements would be perfect to frame and use as wall art....and Relic Eclectic was born!
Vintage magazine advertisements truly are works of art as so many of them were actually drawn by famous artists or illustrators such as Norman Rockwell, and most from the 1950's and before were only used in one issue of one magazine which makes them even more desirable because of their rarity. I love the fact that I am able to give new life to these beautiful pieces of history that otherwise might be hidden for years inside a box in an attic or closet, never again to be seen and appreciated the way that they should be.
I hope that you will enjoy browsing through the inventory in my shop, and that you will find something that will invoke a fond childhood memory, give you some insight into the life experiences of our parents and grandparents, or simply make you say "wow, that is neat!". Thanks for stopping by and happy shopping!
