I can’t tell you how special this little bookmark is to me. My dad served on this ship from 1946-48. The thought that he probably walked on this very teakwood makes it priceless to me. So happy to have this!

This is going to be a surprise for my husband for Christmas this year. We lost his grandfather last month. He served on the USS Caperton from 1956-1959. I’m so glad that I was able to find something from the ship, as not much still exists today. The beautiful brass bookmark came with a certificate of authenticity, an explanation of where the brass came from on the ship, as well as the story of its decommissioning. I cannot thank you enough for giving us this little treasure. It means a lot and my husband is going to be so surprised when he opens it on Christmas Day!

It is so nice that we know Thomas Jefferson himself planted the tree from which this wood is sourced. Also, I love how the wood grain sparkles under the light on this particular tie bar. This matches a set of cufflinks that I bought from this shop, too. They work really well together. Thanks.

These are well-made cufflinks. The seller kindly matched the wood color and grain to a tie bar from the same kind of tree, also in a silver-tone fixture, but sourced at Monticello. Together, they make a very nice set. Individually, each makes its own simple, elegant statement. They would make a great gift, but I'm keeping these beauties for myself!

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He served on the Ranger and always has stories to tell. :) He actually teared up when he opened it. Wonderful surprise and wonderful gift. I didn't have to use customer service, but feel sure it would have been good with such a wonderful item.
