No puedo recordar cómo fue que me topé por primera vez con Etsy cuando tenía 17 años, pero recuerdo mi primera impresión. Me quedé atónito. ¡Fue un increíble alivio y alegría ver que las personas estaban logrando no solo hacer lo que aman, sino hacerlo con éxito! Sabía que quería ser parte de ella. Al ver a otras tejedoras prosperar en Etsy, pensé "puedo hacer eso", y me zambullí casi de inmediato.

No tenía idea de que despegaría como lo hizo. Estoy extremadamente agradecido de ser recibido por una comunidad tan increíble.

PD: Encontré al hombre tejedor que se ve arriba en un archivo de la revista LIFE, y aspiro a ser él cuando envejezca.

I can’t remember how it was that I first stumbled upon Etsy when I was 17, but I remember my first impression. I was stunned. It was an incredible relief and joy to see that people were managing to not only do what they love, but to do it successfully! I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Seeing other knitters thriving on Etsy, I thought “I can do that,” and dove right in almost immediately.

I had no idea it would take off like it did. I'm extremely grateful to be received by such an incredible community.

P.S. I found the knitting man seen above in a LIFE magazine archive, and I aspire to be him when I grow old.
