***Algo en que pensar***

A menudo veo que la gente tiene expectativas poco realistas sobre los artículos reutilizables. Por eso, aquí les dejo algunos ejemplos para aclarar cualquier malentendido.

Las toallas de franela nunca serán tan absorbentes como las de papel ni como las de baño. La compresión es tu mejor aliada con la franela.

Las bolsas de sándwich impermeables no pueden contener tu teléfono celular mientras bajas por el río, ¡pero son excelentes para uvas o sandías!

Las esponjas pueden durar de 2 a 5 años, pero en realidad depende de qué laves, cómo laves y qué tan fuerte frotes. Tengo algunas que tienen 5 años y otras solo me han durado 6 meses porque las usé mucho y fregué cosas que no debía. Jaja

Los filtros de café pueden ser un desastre. No se sostienen solos como los desechables. Nosotros hacemos que el nuestro se quede atascado doblándolo sobre la pared de la cesta y luego dejándolo caer. Mi marido es un experto en esto. 😍 Soy pésima haciéndolo y terminamos con posos en el café. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sí, a veces el color de la tela puede desteñir. Esto es normal en cualquier tela. Por favor, lava todas tus prendas antes del primer uso. Consulta la descripción del anuncio para ver las instrucciones de cuidado.

La ropa de cama familiar no es nada cómoda. No necesito explicar por qué.

Lo que quiero decir es que todos hacemos sacrificios para ayudar a nuestro planeta. El objetivo del plástico y el papel de un solo uso es su comodidad. Pero al ser tan cómoda, también nos perjudica a nosotros y al planeta.

Estoy dispuesta a cargar la compra sin bolsas en mi carrito y a embolsarla al llegar a la furgoneta para evitar las bolsas de plástico o incluso de papel. Estoy dispuesta a aprovechar lo que mi toalla sin papel puede hacer en lugar de esperar que sea igual que la de papel. Y cuando mi café tiene posos... ¡me lo bebo! Jaja. No me hace ningún daño. Al fin y al cabo, no tiré ni contribuí al problema de la basura ni del plástico de nuestro planeta.

Espero que esto ayude a algunos de ustedes a comprender mejor los productos reutilizables.

***something to think about***

Often I find people have an unrealistic expectations for reusable items. So here are a few examples I'm listing just to clear up any misconceptions.

Flannel towels will never be as absorbent as paper towels, or as bath towels. Compression is your friend with flannel.

Waterproof sandwich bags cannot hold your cell phone going down river, but they are great for grapes or watermelon!

Sponges can last 2-5 years but in all reality it will depend on what you wash, how you wash and how hard you scrub. I have some that are 5 years old and some have only lasted 6 months because I used them so often and scrubbed things I shouldn't have. Lol

Coffee filters can be a floppy mess. They do not stand up on their own like disposables. We make ours get "stuck" by folding it over the basket wall and then dropping it in. My husband is an expert at this. 😍 I'm awful at doing it and we end up with grounds in our coffee 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, sometimes the color from the fabric can bleed. This is normal in ANY fabric. Please wash all your items before first use. See the listing description for care instructions.

Family cloth is not convenient at all. I'm sure I don't need to explain why.

So my point is, we all make sacrifices to help be better for our planet. The entire point of single use plastic and paper is how convenient it is. But in being so convenient it also harms us and the earth.

I'm willing to load all my groceries bag less into my buggy and bag them when I get to the van just to avoid plastic or even paper bags. I'm willing to work with what my unpaper towel can do instead of hoping it would be just like paper towel. And when my coffee has grounds in it.....I drink that shit! Lol. Doesn't hurt me one bit. At the end of the day I didn't throw away or add to our planets trash or plastic problem.

I hope this helps some of you understand reusables better.
