One Year on Etsy
After 15 years of teaching, and 7 years staying at home with my son, I decided I needed a creative outlet, and RetroFuse Vintage Jewelry was born. A friend suggested opening a shop on Etsy, and here we are combining my love for vintage jewelry with my need for creativity.
In the last year of operating my shop, my focus has changed significantly. I began selling mostly handmade, but the focus has gradually moved toward vintage and repurposed vintage. I developed a line of hair accessories, and I began making assemblage pieces for weddings and formal events. In my handmade pieces, I use both vintage and new materials, and love working with salvaged and natural materials. My vintage collection consists of mostly mid-century modern styles, rhinestones and lucite from the 1950s and 1960s.
My shop has grown from around 50 items to over 300, and I intend to keep going. While I am still commandeering the dining room table as my workspace, photography studio, and storage area, I hope to expand until I can set up a true workshop that will support metal and glasswork.
Thank you for visiting my shop and for choosing RetroFuse Vintage!
