Inspiration can be found in a dark, damp basement.
In cleaning out my grandmother's basement I found her boxes of greeting cards. I think she saved every card she ever received. The cards were badly faded and swollen from the humidity in the basement. I hadn't see them in years. Seeing them brought back a flood of memories. On rainy days we would sift through the cards and together we would create stories from the images. Those were such precious memories. No matter what condition the cards were in I couldn't stand to throw them away. So I brought them home, scanned them in and restored them so that I could share them with you.
I have always enjoyed drawing and being creative. From the very beginning my favorite thing was my trusty box of 64 crayons. I used to spend the afternoons coloring and coloring. Digital art has opened up an exciting new avenue for me. I hope that you enjoy my personal art as much as the vintage greeting cards.
