A Father and Son Who Love Ripping Packs
Ricochet Rips started with something pretty simple: a dad, his son, and a shared love of ripping football card packs.
My son and I love sitting down together, opening packs, seeing which players we pull, and getting excited when we find a rookie, insert, parallel, or one of our favorite players. Some cards immediately go into our personal collection because they’re players or teams we love.
But after opening enough packs, we started accumulating a lot of great cards that simply didn’t fit our collection.
That’s where the idea for Ricochet Rips came from.
Instead of letting those cards sit in boxes, we wanted to put them back into the hands of kids and collectors who would actually be excited to have them.
We started creating affordable packs filled with recognizable players, rookies, inserts, and other fun cards. The goal isn’t to squeeze every last dollar out of every card. It’s to keep the hobby moving and give another kid that same feeling my son gets when he opens a pack and sees a player he loves.
Every Ricochet Rips pack is put together with that experience in mind.
We keep the cards that mean something to us.
We pass the rest along so they can mean something to someone else.
That’s what this hobby has become for us: time together, collecting the cards we love, and sharing the rest of the fun with other families and collectors.
