Benefits of Planing and My Plan Journey
In my house we're all planner addicts and we experience great benefits from keeping organized ( And having fun personalizing and decorating! ), but the important question here is planning right for you? Although everyone is different I believe keeping a planner can enrich your life in many ways:
Productivity Booster
Planning in advance gives you a different perspective when tackling big projects and goals. It helps you allocate time in a smart and energy efficient manner.
Is there something like a project or an activity you have been wanting to start for a while? How much richer would your life be if you had started a year ago? How much healthier would you be?
Well don't worry! If you start planning your week now you can easily start working on your dreams today. You will be amazed on how many more fun and rewarding things you can achieve in your day when you give yourself set rules and prioritize tasks. This is an important step in removing meaningless tasks that don't bring joy to your life.
Removes Stress from your life
Having a schedule allows you to be more in control of your time, and best of all you can give yourself time to unwind and relax.
When you work at random times you tend to be too emotionally involved in your actions, working too much can cause burnout and disappointment while working too little can cause regret and a sense of failure. However, when you have a set schedule to keep track of your work and daily tasks, you can make sure to give yourself and your family the time you need and still achieve all of our goals.
Keep track of How much you have achieved
I have to make a confession, before I started my planner journey I always thought I achieved very little, I would be always kicking myself thinking “I did nothing today” and my self esteem was at its lowest If this has ever happened to you then you will know it isn't a healthy place to be.
After I started tracking everything I did a personal record and I quickly realized that I actually did a lot of work! Not knowing how much hours I was working a week caused me to work way too much due to the feeling of “not doing enough” and nowadays I work less but I have a greater sense of achievement. All because I have a clear record of all the things I have done and achieved.
You could be doing much more than you think as well! So make a point to take notes of all your achievements big or as small as they might be, and you will soon be able to see how far you've come!
I hope you've found this helpful, I always enjoy sharing my love for planning and if you do start planning after reading this post let me know!
Lots of Love
