Welcome to Rooted Rarities! We are a small specialty plant shop based in Massachusetts offering a variety of rare aroids and other tropical plants. We take great pride in the quality of our plants! We have sourced some of the rarest plants from a number of nurseries both stateside and overseas. Our Massachusetts nursery number is A- 2022 2253.

We ship Monday and Tuesday only to prevent plants from getting held up at the post office over the weekend.*

We suggest reading reviews from our customers and researching the plants you’re interested in prior to your purchase.

Although it’s extremely rare that one of our plants does not arrive safely please take note of our shipping/return policy below:

Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to refuse service, for any reason, at any time.

Return Policy
We guarantee our plants to be Live on delivery providing there were no delays in shipping for which we have no control. If you have any concerns about your plant please take either a video or send us photos within 8 hrs of the package being delivered.

We do not compensate damage that is considered reasonable transit stress, for example:
• Minor folds or cosmetic damage to leaves
• A proportionally small loss in foliage (yellowing or browning of leaves) compared to the size of plant.

We do not encourage unpotting of newly received and recently shipped plants.

You will be required to ship the plant in the original substrate and pot (if applicable) and packaging back to us for a full refund and/or replacement including return shipping.

We do not accept returns of plants in inadequate packaging such as envelopes or boxes that are too small for the plant.
We kindly ask that you do not ship plants to us in a manner that you would not like us to ship them to you.
We reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of care before authorizing a return and/or refund.
Refunds and/or replacements will be given at our discretion.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting.

The Carla Anthurium babies are adorable and arrived in perfect shape (at a great price too). The seller also reached out to apologize for the shipping delay (which was honestly pretty minor) and included to NICE free anthurium babies, think Gator crosses. And two free keychains and two free pins. I’m shook, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so much free stuff and pairs with an already very good deal!

All of our listings are of the actual plant you will be receiving.

We make it a point of selling healthy and pest-free plants. When we receive new plants, they are all inspected, wiped down and quarantined in our temperature and humidity-controlled room to ensure they are safe and acclimated to household conditions prior to being shipped out to you.

Frequently asked questions

Damaged Plants that have been repotted

It is VERY important that you do not attempt to repot your plant (with the exception of cuttings or plants shipped bare root by law) for AT LEAST 7 days.
Plants (especially roots) become weakened by the process of shipping. Being removed from their cozy environment with us and tossed into a dark box causes them a lot of stress naturally.
We understand you might prefer your medium, however, repotting your plant before it’s been acclimated properly can tear and damage the plants roots, often times irreparably so. We love our customers and will always try and make sure you’re satisfied. Repotting early will lessen the chance we will be able to help remedy any issues.

IMPORTANT! SHIPPING POLICY

Please be realistic when receiving shipped plants. Important to note that this is a live plant and some yellowing of leaves and/or root damage can occur during transit. All plants are shipped with care via priority mail. A heat pack is required during winter months and is buyers responsibility to purchase.
Tracking info will be provided through USPS. Receiver is to assume the responsibility of tracking the package and filing a claim if delays or damage occur.
Any plant that is unpotted or repotted before 7 days of receipt will not be eligible for our return policy. No exceptions. This will immediately dismiss our ability to try and remedy any damage that's occurred. Please see our RETURN policy in our shop announcement above.
