I have been so blessed to be able share my journey on etsy since 2007 doing what I love!
In 1999, when my only daughter was 7 it became apparent that I would need a complete hysterectomy. That was a life changing event for me. I believe God replaced my deep hurts of not being able to have more children and turned it into a passion to create. At 40 years old, I ever dreamed I would to do what I love, have a passion grow and now it has reached all around the world. For me that is what God can do with a desire to create. And of course my sweet hubby and daughter have been huge supporters.
When I look back...it was a series of divine events that inspired me to begin painting roses. With encouragement from friends, I nervously began selling my painted and repurposed items on eBay. In 2007 I made a decision to open up shop on etsy...a very good decision indeed. I still am amazed that others are touched by what I LOVE to do and have expressed such sweet sentiments over my work. It has encouraged me over and over again.
Etsy has become a wonderful connecting place for me...I still cannot get over how the world has been opened up to me and I've met some of the sweetest people here. Something that still at times is hard for me to fathom.
I am indeed very blessed!!!
