A few things about me
My name is Joyce and I was named after an aunt who wasn't fortunate to have children of her own. I prefer being called Joy or JD because I've always felt that my given name wasn't really a good fit for me.
I live in and work in St. Louis Missouri where we enjoy the changing seasons and unpredictable weather. In February, one day could be 70 degrees and sunny and the next day 28 and snowy.
I am married, have two grown children, three dogs, and two grand puppies.
I work with computers in my day job but look forward to the evenings and weekends where I can spend time creating art in my studio.
Traditional medium is fun but I have found that combining my computer skills with my artistic skills is what interests me the most. The process is the same, but instead of using traditional paint brushes and pan paints, I use digital brushes and digital paint colors.
