Unique handmade gifts + accessories w a cultural twist.
Sewing and handmade runs in my family; when I was little, visits to my abuela’s house in Texas always included a sweet crocheted gift from her. Additionally my mother sewed mine and my sister’s Halloween costumes and dresses for special occasions. While I occasionally make a hand-knit item and aspire to one day make dresses, I currently continue this family tradition through my use of contemporary accessories and unexpected prints for pet-ware (my family is a dog-loving one).
I am also an artist—I studied photography in college and I apply the creative process to all my handmade items. I am in constant inquiry mode and am forever daydreaming about my next design. I am intuitively attracted to color and I strive to make accessories with a cultural and contemporary twist.
Rowdy Corazón is a space for my blissful obsessions manifested in handmade accessories and gifts. I’m passionate about making things with my hands, mi cultura, thrift stores, food and art. Rowdy Corazón is a means of exploring handmade and more, all with a touch of love and delight.
All items are handmade by me and pet bandanas are modeled by my dog Tula and her friends.
