4 out of 5 starsI'm fairly new to crocheting/amigurumi (less than two years of experience) so some parts of the pattern were a little hard for me to understand. I had to improvise a few times to make it work but any experienced crocheter should be able to do the same. I bought the suggested yarn/hook to make the correct size doll but I still made it with a bigger yarn/hook and it came out just fine (the doll is almost 3ft tall). I didn't use any wire to give her a skeleton so her head just kind of flops around (that's definitely my own fault and I totally recommend using wire like the pattern suggests). I plan on making another doll because it's so cute and I would recommend this pattern to my fellow crocheters.

Since your doll is almost 3 feet (90 cm) tall, we'd like to suggest an alternative solution for your particular case. - Measure a piece of wire from the hips to the top of the head. - If the wire is thin, twist several strands together until it is about the same thickness as the neck, then wrap both ends with electrical tape. - Carefully insert it through the body, neck, and into the head to provide better support. For future dolls, we strongly recommend making the wire armature as described in the PDF pattern. If you ever have questions, please contact us—we're always happy to help.
