We started Skinny Mat with one very specific problem in mind: modern doors. If you've ever bought a beautiful doormat only to find your front door won't open properly — you know exactly why we exist.
Fire doors, composite doors, new flooring, and tight clearances all have one thing in common: there's barely any room to spare. Standard doormats are 8mm or thicker. Ours are less than 2mm thin — slimmer than a 10p coin — so your door swings freely and your floor stays clean.
But thin doesn't mean basic.
Every Skinny Mat is printed using a dye-sublimation process that bonds the design deep into the fabric, so colours stay vivid for years. The top layer is super absorbent to trap moisture and mud, and the textured rubber backing grips tiles, wood, laminate, vinyl, and low-pile carpet without budging.
We offer hundreds of designs — from florals and geometrics to retro prints, coastal themes, funny quotes, and classic styles. Most can be personalised with a family name, house number, or custom message, making them one of our most popular choices for housewarming gifts, new home presents, and wedding gifts.
Can't find the right colour? We can match almost any shade — just send us your hex code or paint brand reference and we'll produce a mock-up for your approval before we print.
