I am passionate about creating with paper!
Paper crafting has occupied my spare time and wondering mind for many years. I enjoy working with various types of paper: thin, heavy, textured, recycled, printed, inked- all just waiting to be cut, folded, curled, sculpted, inked and released to become something beautiful. My mother always had a Sunday School project in the works. She did amazing things. With paper, imagination is the only limitation.
Some time ago, I had the opportunity to design paper blooms for the weddings of very special friends. From that moment, I was hooked. This enthusiasm lead to opening Ruby and Cosette to allow me to continue creating original designs for others! Sometimes it involves making the flowers pass as real, bringing curious hummingbirds to my studio window, at other times it's going eclectic and imagining a totally impossible bloom for another world.
These flowers are ideal for weddings. They are easy to store in advance of the event without wilting. They can be coordinated with corsages, bouts, garlands and centerpieces. After the event they will become a long-lasting keepsake. It's extremely fulfilling to bring someone's vision for their wedding, event or home décor alive with paper flowers that, with care, last a lifetime.
