A Legacy Woven with Passion: Our Family’s Story
It all began in the early 1980s with a bold leap of faith: my father sold one of his two minibuses to chase a dream. With that single decision, he laid the foundation for our family’s rug-weaving journey. He set up a modest workshop in Malatya with just 20 looms, focusing on traditional, high-quality Kayseri carpets.
From day one, the soul of our business has been the incredible women who bring these rugs to life. My father hired 45 local artisan women to hand-weave our original designs. What started as a small, passionate endeavor quickly caught the attention of the European retail market, and our authentic rugs began finding homes across Germany.
As the decades passed, our family workshop blossomed into a vibrant community of over 100 dedicated artisans. We expanded our horizons, taking our traditional Anatolian craft from the historical streets of Istanbul to major international design fairs in France, the United States, and Singapore.
However, true craftsmanship must evolve to survive. When traditional rug trends began to slow down in 2006, we didn't stop; we innovated. By 2008, we introduced vintage patchwork rugs, blending our rich, historical heritage with modern, sustainable interior design. This innovative vision brought an incredible new energy to our workshop, where every stage of production is still carefully managed by our family.
