About Rust Modern
Rust Modern is an independent furniture studio based in Texas, specializing in sculptural work in solid walnut and steel. Each piece is developed and built by hand, with an emphasis on architectural form, material honesty, and long-term durability.
Every piece is designed and built start to finish in our Texas workshop. We work primarily with solid hardwoods and carefully selected materials, favoring timeless forms over trends and construction methods intended to last for decades—not seasons.
Our process is intentionally small-scale. Designs are developed with attention to line, balance, and how a piece will live in a space over time. From initial concept through final finish, each piece is made by hand with the same care given to one-off commissions and limited production work.
We work with individual clients, interior designers, and architects on both custom and made-to-order furniture. Clear communication, realistic timelines, and careful shipping are a core part of how we operate.
Furniture should feel considered, well made, and quietly confident. That is the standard we work toward with every piece.
