If I made an error on your custom piece where the text/design stamped doesn't match the information provided at checkout, I will happily replace the item right away.

I hand stamp each piece, letter by letter, as it’s ordered. I will make every effort to provide you with a quality product. Please note that hand stamped metal, like many handmade crafts, is “perfectly imperfect”. It's normal to see light blemishes or imprints on the back of the softer metals-- like aluminum, brass, copper-- from the stamping process. You can also expect to see slight differences in the spacing, depth and alignment of each letter. These all add to the character and charm of a handmade, unique gift!

In addition to stamping, each item is put through a multi-step process before shipping, including sanding, darkening or oxidation, cleaning and buffing/polishing.

I ship items within 3 to 5 business days of placing your order unless otherwise stated. I'll post any changes to processing time in my shop announcements. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has shipped. I cannot be responsible for any delays while the package is en route.

Engraving is done by machines, producing a neat look on the front and back of the product surface. It has a ‘perfect’ look with evenly spaced and consistent indentation of letters.

I only do hand stamping, which is performed by hand using steel stamps and a hammer, one letter at a time. The stamp is lined up by eye and held in place, then hit with a hammer with the other hand to impress the letter or design into the metal. Hand stamped items will have variations in character depth and spacing. Sometimes, marks or indentations can be visible on the back of the piece, or the word may not be perfectly straight. The charm of these pieces is in the imperfect, rustic look and you can see the stamper’s unique signature on each handcrafted piece

Please understand that metal scratches easily and my suppliers use large machines to cut the sheets or metal blanks that I use for my products. Sometimes there may be light marks on your tag from their process. However, I would never make pieces using metal that is gouged or dented.
