Rustic Pine Market
I am from a small town just south of Seattle, WA where I met my high school sweetheart.
I am lucky enough to have gotten recently married to him and now we travel the world together as he is currently serving in the Army.
We are now trying to navigate the military lifestyle and are so excited to see where this life takes us.
I chose the name, Rustic Pine Market, because I love the rustic look and because Pine trees are known to withstand varied temperature ranges and climates. To me, that symbolizes our life with the military. We will keep on thriving no matter where we are. Pine is also known for its scent that causes people to feel at home.
I’ve been creating wood decor since I can remember.
In high school I would sneak into my dads garage and teach myself how to use all of the different tools he had. For Christmas and birthdays, I would ask for tools of my own so I could create things once I moved out (Thanks Dad). While in college and obviously on a budget, I created my own signs & other wood type decor to decorate my space to make it feel cozy and of course feel like home.
Quickly, making decor become my favorite hobby as I got to put my creative side to use and also because it gave me the opportunity to relax and give my mind a break from everyday stresses.
Finally, after my husbands convincing, I decided to take the big leap and open my own shop so I could make wood signs and decor for others to enjoy.
