the beginning of it all...
I grew up around arts & crafts. At a very young age my mom would always drag me to scrapbook & craft stores where we had endless ideas of projects to create. It became a bonding activity for my family during difficult seasons of life. Throughout my late teen years, and early twenties, I learned that life is busy & stressful. It is so hard to make yourself stop breathe and smell the roses. In college I would find myself spending hours writing out different quotes, Bible verses, etc. (lessons the Lord was laying on my heart) I noticed that it was a way for me to relax and process my journey.
The year after college I began working at a safe house for at-risk teenage girls. This job challenged me mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I did not want to fall back into bad habit, so I chose a hobby of mine and began to really take a hold of it. That is when I started crafting again. It became a way to rest and refocus. After a few months of doing this, I started to have WAY to many canvases and projects laying around... thats when I got the idea to take custom orders and sell them to people.
I wanted to use my hobby to bless other people.... but really it is a blessing to me :)
