Hey there! I'm Alicia, and the story behind Rustic Strength is a personal one, born out of a mother's love and a whole lot of frustration. When my son was little, he faced some serious health challenges, including severe allergies that seemed to react to everything. Even after switching to those "natural" and "hypoallergenic" laundry detergents, he'd still break out in rashes and have asthma attacks. It turned out these so-called healthy brands were hiding a cocktail of irritants, and getting a clear ingredient list felt like pulling teeth!
That's when my husband, with his chemistry background, and I decided to take matters into our own hands. We dove into some serious experimentation, determined to create a truly safe and effective laundry detergent. What we discovered was eye-opening – many everyday products are loaded with things like carcinogens and hormone disruptors, and shockingly, the companies making them knew all along! This fueled our mission to create something different: household products that are not only gentle and non-toxic but also really work and won't break the bank.
From those early experiments in our kitchen, Rustic Strength has blossomed into a family-run business with a simple yet powerful belief: what we put into the earth, we get back. We're passionate about creating high-purity, plant-based cleaning and wellness products that are kind to you and the planet. We're proud to offer refill options across the country, a unique container reuse program, and products made fresh right here in the Ozarks.
