Dream Job Is Realized
At an early age I realized that I was both creative and also had a business side. As I grew up very poor, I knew that two things were evident. I had to work and study hard if I wanted to make my dream a reality, and second, I could never give up on that dream. I am happy to say, that I created a path and stayed on it which allowed me to retire recently from the Federal Government. Now, I am fulfilling my dream of creating and owning my own business. I love to create unique and "one of a kind" greeting cards and scrapbook pages. I was always being approached by friends, family, and even strangers wanting to buy my work. So, I decided to open a on-line store where I could sell not only my handmade works of art, but also scrapbook, card making, and other arts & crafts supplies. Now that I have accomplished goal number one, I am setting the bar even higher. Now, it is my dream that my business does so well, that I will be so busy and have to hire people who need jobs. I am a firm believer of "Paying It Forward" and helping those in need. When I am not working on my business, I volunteer my time, helping non-profit community groups. I also financially sponsor "at risk" youths in sports and after school activities using proceeds from my store sales. I believe that you get out of life what you put into it.
