This Privacy Policy describes how I, Sascha Ludwig, trading as SLStudioCollective, collect, use, share, and retain personal information when you place an order, contact my shop, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com and Etsy’s related services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy, Printify, production and fulfillment providers, payment providers, or shipping carriers. Please review the privacy policies of those services for information about their respective privacy practices.
1. PERSONAL INFORMATION I RECEIVE
To process and fulfill an order, Etsy may provide me with information that you authorized Etsy to share, including:
• Your name
• Your email address
• Your postal and delivery address
• Your order and transaction details
• Your product selections and personalization information
• Messages or other information you voluntarily provide
Payments are processed through Etsy and its payment providers. I do not receive or store your complete payment card information.
2. WHY I USE YOUR INFORMATION
I use personal information only where there is a lawful and necessary reason to do so, including:
• To process, produce, fulfill, and deliver your order
• To communicate with you regarding your purchase
• To provide customer support and resolve order problems
• To handle cancellations, returns, replacements, disputes, or claims
• To comply with Etsy’s policies and contractual requirements
• To comply with applicable tax, accounting, recordkeeping, consumer-protection, and legal obligations
• To prevent fraud, misuse, and security problems
• To improve my products, services, and customer experience where this does not override your privacy rights
• For marketing only where you have provided specific and affirmative consent
I do not use Etsy customer information for independent marketing without the customer’s affirmative consent.
3. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
I process personal information on the following legal bases:
• Contract performance under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, including processing, producing, delivering, and supporting an order.
• Compliance with legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, including applicable tax, accounting, consumer-protection, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, including preventing fraud, securing my business operations, improving customer service, and establishing or defending legal claims, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where you have expressly agreed to a specific optional use. You may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
4. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
I share personal information only when reasonably necessary for the following purposes:
• Etsy: I share information with Etsy as necessary to operate my shop, process transactions, communicate with customers, and comply with Etsy’s Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
• Production and fulfillment providers: I use Printify to route and manage made-to-order purchases. Printify may provide the information required to produce, package, and ship an order to the assigned print provider, currently Monster Digital. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to fulfill and deliver the order.
• Shipping and delivery providers: The shipping carrier assigned to an order may receive the name, delivery address, and other information required to transport the order, provide tracking, and complete delivery.
• Professional and technical service providers: Information may be shared where reasonably necessary for accounting, legal compliance, fraud prevention, technical support, or secure business operations.
• Legal compliance: I may collect, use, retain, or share information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a court order, legal process, tax requirement, or government request, or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
I do not sell customers’ personal information to unrelated third parties.
5. DATA RETENTION
I retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill orders, provide customer service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy applicable legal, accounting, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
The exact retention period depends on the nature of the information and the applicable legal requirement. When personal information is no longer required for these purposes, it is deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of where reasonably possible.
6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Etsy, Printify, assigned production and fulfillment providers, and shipping providers may process information in countries outside the country where you live, including countries outside the European Economic Area.
Where a transfer is subject to the GDPR, personal information is transferred using an applicable lawful safeguard, such as an adequacy decision issued by the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR.

7. REQUIRED INFORMATION AND AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
Providing your name, delivery address, and order details is necessary to enter into and fulfill a purchase contract. Without this information, I may be unable to process, produce, or deliver your order.
I do not independently use automated decision-making or profiling in connection with customer orders. Etsy and other third-party services may conduct their own processing as described in their respective privacy policies.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
• Request access to the personal information I hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Request restriction of certain processing
• Object to certain uses of your information
• Request a portable copy of eligible information
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• File a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority
