I love many things in life like travel, food, family, and get-together with friends and have good laughs. Aside from spending time with loved ones, in my time alone I love to create things with fabrics and yarn. I've made hats, hair, toys, stuffed animals big and small, fabric roman shades that can raise and close, and curtains that hang 22 feet high. Growing up, I was very fortunate to have an aunt who was a seamstress. She made custom clothes and also taught sewing to many students in her shop. I get to spent a lot of time in her shop when I was young and got to learn a thing or two from a real pro.
I picked up embroidery when I had some money to invest into a Janome home embroidery machine. I've loved it ever since. Embroidery allows me to create designs in my own style and imprint with thread on fabric. Such a lovely concept with beautiful results! Now I have 5 machines in my shop, from home embroidery to commercial machines. I'm addicted to embroidery!
