Our Story
Ashley, Katie and Jessica met while studying graphic design at San Diego State University. Through our upper division coursework, we learned to collaborate and critique each other’s design together as a team. After graduation, we each went on to other internships, jobs and travels, but realized we wanted something more. We began to discuss the idea of Sable & Snow—the three of us coming together to do the kind of design and illustration that we love. What started as a “what if” discussion soon became an exciting and passionate endeavor. Our shared love of stationery, pattern and illustration brought us together in our goal to create beautiful, unique designs and products. We all felt strongly about the kind of product we wanted to make—well-designed, high quality art pieces that are produced using ethical American labor. We found that the best way to do this was to be as involved in the process as possible—we print everything locally in San Diego and then assemble all of our products by hand. Although it takes a little longer for each product to be made, we are proud to produce high quality ethical products, infused with our own hard work and love.
