You never know what the tide might bring!
Nestled in the far reaches of the internet - but proudly based in Winnipeg - is a sticker shop with more edge, humor, and heart than your average Etsy scroll.
The Local Sticker Shop isn't just a place to buy stickers. It's a loud, weird, beautifully defiant gallery of adhesive art, curated by me, Sean McCarthy, a pilot-turned-artist with a sharp eye, a sharper wit, and a soft spot for UFOs, capitalism takedowns, and the raw poetry of everyday rebellion.
The shop boasts a staggering variety of designs-ranging from American traditional tattoo flash to lowbrow absurdity, anti-capitalist quips, aviation nostalgia, UFO sightings, existential sarcasm, and more. Each piece is bold, unapologetically illustrated, and printed with a quality that sticks (pun intended).
Whether you're looking to slap a fluorescent alien on your laptop, a flaming eagle on your water bottle, or a hilariously inappropriate design on your office wall— this shop gets it.
My journey is as compelling as the stickers themselves. After a decade of flying floatplanes and Learjets, I traded altitude for attitude - channeling the disillusionment, curiosity, and grit of modern life into a side hustle turned full-blown art mission. Drawing on years of graphic design work and a passion for punk aesthetics, he launched The Local Sticker Shop as a place to showcase accessible art with soul - and maybe piss off a few billionaires along the way.
And while the designs are hilarious and often darkly satirical, there's an authenticity at the core. This isn't corporate art. It's the work of someone who's lived a few lives, loved a few weird things, and decided to print it all out on vinyl.
In an age of soulless dropshipping and mass-produced mediocrity, The Local Sticker Shop is a breath of rebellious air— one that you can stick just about anywhere.
