Welcome to my shop!

My name is Linda, and I am the sole creator of all the items you see in this shop. I hand-make each quilt in my home in Washougal, WA, a small rural town just east of Vancouver. My shop contains two types of quilts: summer quilts, which are made of 100% cotton, and winter quilts, which have a 100% cotton top and batting with a polyester fleece bottom for warmth.

Although I’ve been sewing for many years, there is more to my story. Summers are spent fishing (like there’s no tomorrow!), hiking, and enjoying all the lush beauty that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. But when winter arrives, tackle and poles are stored away and out comes my sewing machine! By winter, I usually have new patterns, reams of material, and a ton of ideas. It can get pretty snowy here, so it’s great to be indoors!

For me, creation is a matter of inspiration. Sometimes, it’s the fabric that draws me in; others, an eye-catching pattern or design. Once in a while, I'll discover a fabric that perfectly suits the person I'm sewing for! You never know.

A quilt is a funny thing. You craft them with color, design, and a pattern. You sew the top together, find a complementary backing, and sandwich the batting in between. You quilt the top - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - but when it’s done, it has become a piece of art! For me, that's the best part - the feeling of creating something beautiful.
