Sea is where the heart is.
I thought about the idea of Sandy Coast, when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter Hannah. I was always gathering beach stones and driftwood on our family walks along the sea. I just thought they were pretty. After a while, our house was full of random stones and sea glass, with no place to put them.
Historically the Baltic tribes have always been material gatherers. Many excavations prove that they were masters of their craft – creation of powerful tools out of raw stone. Amber and stone necklaces were worn by women, to show their status. Me and my husband decided to throw a modern twist on this phenomenon.
I started to sketch designs of necklaces and earrings that my husband later turned into real products.
With trial and error, we have arrived here. We are very passionate about our craft and we only wish to perfect it more and more every day!
Here in Etsy we offer our designs and supplies for crafts, so other artists can unleash their creativity!
Thank you,
Ingrid from the team of Sandy Coast
