Growing up in Wisconsin, I have learned to appreciate the beauty of the world around me. I have always enjoyed painting. I try to capture the human experience in each piece I create, whether it focuses nature, emotion, or spiritual moments.
I often explore the intersection of the peace that faith can bring and the human struggle. I have struggled with mental health for as long as I can remember and I believe that it should be shown not hidden. Your health isn't something to be ashamed of, so I paint it to show the world that I am not succumbing. My goal is to create art that speaks to the soul.
I believe art should be honest. Many of my personal pieces deal with the heavy realities that come with mental health. I hope to show that even in our most vulnerable moments, there is a source of comfort out there. Through my work I hope to connect with others who find beauty in the light, the dark, and everything in between.
