My new dulcimer case is great! The instrument fits exactly, the sewing is well done, and the padding is thick enough to be protective without being bulky. Sarah did a great job in making a dulcimer case I can be proud of! The price for custom work is moderate-- neither cheap nor overly expensive, but she does a quality job, and I expect this case to last me many years, so it is worth it. Give her a chance next time you collect a new dulcimer without a case.

When husband and I ran a storefront in Willimantic, CT. We were Featured in Hartford Magazine.
I am forever Thankful for Hands.
My Niece spent a day sewing with me . She is pretty crafty herself.
Pattern Making allows me to change a flat piece of fabric to a 3 dimensional form.
I spend a lot of time thinking about the history of the tools of my trade.

Textiles, Ingenuity and a Commitment to Fairness

I have lived a life rich in creativity. I have been in the sewing business for over 35 years, in many different forms. From manufacturing in NYC (think small: a tiny apartment that held not only me and my husband, but also machines, tables, fabric, tools and patterns!). I have made custom clothing, put out a catalogue and sold at music festivals. I taught costuming and was a costumer. I graduated magna cum laude from FIT, the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in patternmaking.

Today I live in Connecticut and work from my home. I have a large dedicated room with 3 sewing machines, cutting table, washer, dryer and sink. I chose fabrics and methods for our childrens' future. Hemp, Wool, Linen and Organic Cotton.

I wish to leave this world a better place. I believe a person in the United States can manufacture at a boutique level and provide the American consumer with reasonably priced, quality goods. I strive to produce a product that provides satisfaction and balance for both you and me. Let no human being be undervalued. I look forward to sharing this with you.
