Christine Lorenzo had been leading a creative life vicariously since childhood by means of ardent artistic admiration for culture, history, film, art, music and fashion while working in a world of international high-tech. Finally in the early spring of 2011 something called out to her: the historic Evil Eye Bead. This calling developed into SariBlue®, where she has been setting her creativity free.
After jumping out of high-tech, Christine began crafting earthy bohemian style jewelry, with a bit of an industrial edge to some of the pieces and a cool, luxurious fashionable style to others, with the center of the entire collection being the fascinating Evil Eye Bead. The collection is best known for its trademarked collection of Baby Belly Bells® and has evolved to include a popular line of sleek leather designs for both men and women.
The story of the SariBlue® name goes back to Christine’s introduction to Turkish culture. Sari- means blonde in Turkish, which is what her husband dubbed her when they met over ten years ago. Blue- is not only the most popular color for Evil Eye beads, but also the color of her eyes. So it wasn’t difficult to come up with a very personal name and one that was also well suited to the legacy of the Evil Eye beads.
The SariBlue® Jewelry Collection beads come directly from artisans who have learned the craft of making these historic beads through generations. Christine and her husband travel frequently to Turkey to work directly with craftsmen for the collection.
Part of the beauty of these beads is the manner in which they are made. Artisans collect recycled glass pieces, mix them with special dyes and melt in their primitive adobe furnaces that are fueled by naturally clean-burning pine logs. They shape the red hot molten glass, fuse colors together and create these amazing beads using only simple hand tools. This process has not changed for centuries.
Every bead fashioned has its own identity, lending every SariBlue® piece its own allure. The beads are carefully chosen for the SariBlue® collection. All designs are by Christine and carefully created in her workshop outside of Boston, MA, USA.

SariBlue® is one of the only U.S. based company that uses handmade genuine Turkish Evil Eye beads in their designs. Its Oxblood Agate, Hematite & Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings were worn by the character Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 2 "Yellow Ledbetter". Its Sparkle & Oxblood Earrings were worn on Episode 424 of ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars”. During her pregnancy, actress Megan Fox was spotted wearing SariBlue®’s popular Baby Belly Bell® Angel Caller Maternity Necklace.
