We’re Tessa, Erin, and Kris Jobson—a family with a passion for meaningful, handmade keepsakes. My Family Rulers has always been a family-run business, and when we had the opportunity to continue its legacy, we knew it was something special. Based in Australia, our workshop is filled with the scent of fresh timber, the sound of creativity in motion, and a whole lot of love poured into every piece we create.
Our Story
This beautiful journey started long before we became its caretakers. Originally founded by Sarah, My Family Rulers was born from a simple yet powerful idea: preserving family memories in a way that lasts a lifetime. She wanted to keep track of her children's heights without losing those cherished markings to a fresh coat of paint. When she couldn’t find a local solution, she made her own—and soon, others wanted one too. That’s how this small business, built on love and nostalgia, came to life.
When our family took over, we knew we wanted to honour that same heartfelt mission. We are so proud to continue handcrafting these beautiful height rulers and milestone gifts, each one as unique as the family it belongs to.
