Schemeable Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Schemeable (“we”, “us”, the “Shop”) handles personal data when you use our Etsy shop, place an order, contact us, or otherwise interact with us on or off Etsy. Etsy operates its own platform and is an independent controller. Please also see Etsy’s Privacy Policy in Etsy’s legal pages. When you make a purchase, Etsy shares certain information with us so we can fulfil your order.

If you are in the UK or EEA, we are responsible for your personal data under the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

2. Data we collect
We receive data directly from you or via Etsy when you:
• Place an order
• Send a message or leave a review
• Download a digital product

Categories of data:
• Identity and contact: name, username, email, postal address, country, phone (if provided)
• Order and delivery: items purchased, price, order notes, gift messages, download status
• Payment and fraud: payment status and method, fraud-screening signals. Card details are processed by Etsy or its payments providers
• Communications: messages, reviews, timestamps
• Technical: limited download logs to deliver digital files. Cookies on our Etsy pages are controlled by Etsy

We do not intentionally collect special category data.

3. Purposes and legal bases
We process data only where a legal basis applies:
• Contract to process and deliver your order, provide support, handle returns, and supply digital files
• Legitimate interests to operate and improve the Shop, prevent fraud or misuse, manage record-keeping, respond to messages, and protect our legal rights, balanced against your rights
• Legal obligation to meet tax, accounting, and consumer-protection requirements

4. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
• Service providers acting on our instructions, such as email and cloud-storage providers, accounting tools, and professional advisers. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms
• Etsy to the extent needed to resolve issues like disputes or platform misuse
• Authorities where required by law

5. Retention
• Orders and finance records: up to 6 years to meet tax and accounting rules
• Customer messages/support: up to 2 years after the last interaction, longer if needed for a dispute
• Digital delivery logs and fraud-prevention data: typically up to 12 months
We delete or anonymise data once the retention period ends.

6. International transfers
We are in the UK. Some service providers may be outside the UK or EEA. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on lawful safeguards, including UK adequacy regulations, the UK IDTA or Addendum to the EU SCCs, the EU SCCs, and, for transfers to the US, the UK-US Data Bridge where the recipient is certified. Additional measures are applied where required.

7. Your rights (UK and EEA)
You can request access, correction, deletion in certain cases, restriction, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and portability of data you provided to us by automated means where processing is based on consent or contract.
To exercise rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month, extendable by two months for complex or multiple requests. We may ask for information to verify your identity. We cannot delete records we must keep by law.

8. Cookies
Cookies on our Etsy shop are controlled by Etsy. Off-Etsy websites we control will display their own cookie notices where applicable.

9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data and our size to keep your information secure.

10. Automated decision-making
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

11. Children
Our Shop is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
