Let us have you a while
Every story has a beginning, but we only ever know about the middle and the end.
Upon a shelf sat a sweet little book, made from leather its spine delightfully worn with little holes from a book worm who once called it home.
'That'll have to go in the bin, the back cover is coming off'
The poetical works of Dr. Will. Broome, 1781. This little book had lived a life we didn't know of 226 years to have nearly met its end in a charity shop rag sack. We quickly rescued it and bought it home to live with us.
And so it began, every trip a new member came to stay in our home. The little china dog with the playful grin, the set of 5 glasses that had lost 1 of its friends, the old and tarnished cake stand that just needed a little TLC to shine again!
Our shelves began to fill quickly, there was no more room at the inn.
Second Home was born.
All our old friends can now stay here for a little while, where they are polished, repaired and restored whilst they wait to find their new homes, their second homes, to be loved again. Making space for new friends half way through their story, waiting to find their happy ending.
