Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

+Soak in cold water first mixed with OxyClean (or preferred brand) ! Used side facing down. This is essential for removing blood from all the materials. Let soak for about 30 mins. Drain and repeat until water is clear. Avoid HOT water, that will set the blood stains.

+Wash along with other clothes or you can absolutely hand wash for longevity!

+Drying can be done a few ways. Each one will start with pulling the wet cloth pad into shape first. Helps to keep its form and avoid cotton shrinkage.
Option one: Hang from pant clip hangers and air dry.
Option two: Place in direct sunlight.
Option Three: Tumble dry in dryer on Low.

I don't recommend a washing detergent, mainly because everyone has different preferences, BUT DO NOT BLEACH!!

How many cloth pads will I need?

Depends on your flow really. I'd say a safe bet would be to start with:

+3-5 Pantyliners.
+7-12 Day Pads.
+2-4 Overnight Pads

Will they leak?

Unlikely, each pad is made with very absorbent layers and in-between them is a layer of PUL fabric. They use this material to make reusable diapers that last through many washings. You can also use this wonderful fabric for changing pad covers, mattress protectors, bibs, and linings for bags that need to be waterproof!

PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate.

Which side faces up?

I make my pads so that the design faces up and the fleece holds on to your underwear.

How far apart are the snaps?

From snap to snap is ~5" and the width of the absorbency pad is ~2". From edge to edge is ~6.5"
