Recently someone asked me what my style is. I’m not sure how to answer this simply. I like a lot of different styles, but never one by itself. I like the unexpected. There is nothing necessarily wrong with a space that is uniform-It’s just expected. Our eye can easily move while we are observing. But the unexpected gets our attention. Our eye gets caught and stops. This is why juxtaposition works. It makes us stop and think. We no longer are just bystanders. Our minds are engaged and inspired.
